Hi there,
Hoping to get some insight into how the 260 Hammer Hunters are running in fierce rifles. With the component shortage I am trying to cut down on load development.
I tried 250 grain accubonds, which were about 3/4 MOA, which is just not acceptable for the cost of the rifle. I think I would have luck with Bergers, as I always have, but want wither bonded or mono for this rifle. The rifle test target shot unreal with 280 LRX, but Im not going to be running those, as it seems that they are usually running at 2600 fps (I run 300 bergers at 2775 out of my RUM).
The 260 Hammer Hunters seem to be a great hunting bullet, but I am curious of how they do with a bit of jump, because I want to run them in the mag. At $3/bullet in Canada, and the powder shortage, I dont want to bother burning up my Retumbo without digging into the subject first.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
