I just put together a 338 edge on a savage action with a mcgowen prefit.
I'm waiting on my edge dies to show up but I have lee 338 rum dies. I backed off the sizing die and necked up some nosler brass. It chambered fine. I seated a 300 berger .015 off the lands. Now it is very hard to chamber. I marked it with a sharpie and there is a ring where the brass is clearly making contact. I tried bumping the shoulder back further and the ring stays in the same place. The seating die is run out as far as possible so it shouldn't be crimping.
Any suggestions? Should I just wait for the edge dies to show up?
Thanks
