Not exactly. Need to do more research. Rifle is currently a 6.5-06 with a fluted barrel that is .875 at the end. Looking at other similar cartridges with ultralight barrels, it could stand to lose a few ozWhy toy with it? Just do it. Assuming you know the safety parameters you need to stay within

Mram10us, I have extra Hart 6mm-14 twist that is chambered in standard 6mm Remington. It came off Rem 700.

I need to find barrel box to get up to you. It only had around 400 rounds down barrel and not pushed hard. Barrel still very usable.
Well to me it looks like going off a lilja #1 profile mine could definitely lose some weight by turning it down to .625 till about 6" from the bolt face.
