I have a couple questions. I'm looking at a remington 700. Seller doesnt know much about it, and claims its stock from factory. It appears to have a medium contour barrel, dressed in what might be a hogue or similar stock. Ive tried looking up the serial number but have had no luck finding a anywhere to input it. I havent had hands on the weapon, just pictures. The SN is RR65029J. Any help would ve very much appreciated

I think based on serial number it was made in 1997......look at the attached 1997 catalog and see if it looks right.....Long or short action and cartridge chambered in might help as well.

Well thats what I found as well, however it has one of the scan codes stamped in the action. Chambered in 300 Win Mag. Here are a couple pictures.

Yeah I think so, but I can only find charts for that that go through 2002. Thinking this ones newer than that because of the QR code

That doesnt look like a hoque stock. If factory as claimed, it looks like a nicer model (or at least not a base/value model) . Hard to tell with just those pictures though.

The letter codes repeat for Month/year. Do you have a picture of them. Left side in front of the receiver.

The QR code places the receiver later that at least 2012, the latest model I have.

So it looks like it was manufactured in Nov of 2020. I also agree that it definately looks luke a 700 AWR. I think this mystery is officially solved Gents. Thank you so much for all the help, its very much appreciated
