Crazy 7mm build

I am about to start a 7mm build. Keep in mind this will be a hunting rifle for 7-800yd max range. After running a 20" 6.5cm and loving the short barrel I am thinking about a 22" 7mm. Also I want to run the 180 eldm. I want to run around 2900fps. I was thinking a 7saum but recently saw Gunwerks building 22" 28nosler rifles. What are your thoughts on a 28n with a 22" bbl??

Keep in mind a couple things

1: I don't care if it is a flame thrower out the end of the barrel.

2: I don't care if the barrel only lasts 700 rounds.

3: I think I can run a little faster powder (4831sc vs h1000) to optimize the short barrel.
I know the 28 will achieve the velocity with the 22" barrel. I think it would be difficult for the 7mag.
We put a 7mm 22" together a few years ago and 2850 with a 175gr was the best we could get.

I have a model 70 win I run a 7mm WSM in. It sends 175 ELD-X-s at 3070 fps in front of RL-23. It has a 24 inch barrel but 2 inches shouldn't slow it down much and neither should the 180 bullets you desire. There is already brass out there and the cartridge just plain shoots!!

21" barreled T3.
Yet to do load work but my plan is to duplicate velocities that others are achieving in similar configured rifles - 3k+ with 162 ELDx and a healthy dose of Reloder 23.

I have a 7mm WSM and it shots 175 gr ELD-X's @ 3070 fps. It is in a model 70 Win with a 24" bbl weights in with its scope at 7 lbs. Great hunting gun and ammo is available over the counter. Wildcats come with problems like fireforming brass and expensive dies and reloading equipment. 7mm WSM is a tac driver and has killed many elk and deer.

I believe Gunwerks is build those short barrels for their suppressors. Even without a suppressor you should get good velocity from a 28 Nosler. Unless you are real recoil resistant you're gonna need a brake. That cartridge will puts some pressure on your shoulder for sure.
