I'm a hunter, not a target shooter. However, I do want accuracy. I love accurate rifles.

I reload. I have neck sizing dies for .270 Win and for 7MM Rem Mag. For a while, I'd use neck sized brass in both of my .270 Win rifles. Yesterday, my Sako had gone persnickety on me. It wouldn't chamber some rounds that went into my Model 700's chamber like butter. Is it possible that after a couple firings that cases fired in my Model 700 have expanded to the point that they'll no longer chamber in my Sako?

That's about all I can reason at this point.

Yep, commingling brass especially neck sizing only can cause you serious pressure problems so it's best to have and keep your brass separate for each rifle and load specifically to suit them both.

Otherwise you need to full length resize all of your brass every time bac to SAAMI spec.

Twice I have had two rifle chambered for the same cartridge at the same time at the same gunsmith and both times each rifle needed its own cases.

By all means see for yourself, but I think if you just full length size everything the brass will fit in both rifles and you'll probably lose nothing (might even gain) in accuracy.

You can still modify the ammo that doesn't fit; just run it through a body die.

I even keep my brass sorted.by times.fired

Using.neck sized.brass from one.rifle.to another? Not a chance.

I have quit neck sizing anyway. Only full length size. Have a separate sizing die for each rifle set up for .0015 shoulder bump.

Just the way I do it. Different strokes.for.different folks

I always full length size. That said, with my own rifles or wildcat cartridges, I full length size with just enough shoulder bump to have a slight crush fit when chambering.

Once brass has yielded to different chambers, a single FL die will not likely bring both to the same dimensions. An additional custom die could be used to cause a match from the larger chamber to the smaller. But with a lot of FL sizing there other internal changes, as brass rolls thicker toward thin. Some of this would be trimmed away, different donuts, changing spring backs, these making the brass different.
It's not an action taken for accuracy, but in penny-pinching.
