Over the last 5 +\- years, and more so recently, I've noticed there are rarely any .264 Win Mag rifles for sale but there are many, many 6.5 Creedmor. I wonder why that is? I mean, the 264 Win Mag is 64 years old. There must be 48 years more of them out in the American market than there are Creedmor. No?

264 didn't have the printed media coverage, hype or internet of the 6.5CM. Now it's old school and not appreciated for what it is.

I seem to think the people that have and appreciate a good 264 tend to hang onto them. My dad being one of those haha. I have a sendero in 264 that I need to start loads for. Quite a nice cartridge and performance imo.

Agreed, the 264 mag has a small but dedicated following. Those people tend to hold on to the good ones.

There's likely been more creeds sold in the last 5 years that all 264 mags ever which would contribute to the numbers appearing the way they do.

264 has been commercially dead for like 4 decades. Very few rifles chambered for it, and not much ammo selection. It's not going to be making a comeback.

Personally, I love the cartridge and the romanticized nostalgia that goes along with it!
