Hi every one,

Got a chance to get some berger 155.5gr fullbore or 167gr lapua scenar.

Both shoot well in my 308 up to 600y.

My question is that the BC is à bit better on the berger so will it be good to go with the lapua sins it à little more hevy?

For longuer range im runnig 185gr juggernault so my interrogations are for max 600y

Thank

Go 155.5. Bullet was designed for Palma competition 800,900 and 1000 yds. You'll find good load for it too.

At 600 yards, B.C. doesn't gain you any significant advantage. It's still helpful in the wind, but for me, it's not the deciding factor like it could be at more distant ranges.
Considering they both shoot well to 600Y, "I" will always pick the bullet with a higher BC for my intended purpose. I would rather have the BC even in circumstances where it is not a deciding factor, and I don't use/need it than the other way around. But that is just me, cheers!

Me personally for my 308 Win I'd go with either the 155 Full Bore or the 185 Jug, and that's from a guy that runs a BC bullet inline with the 167 Lapua. I ran the numbers at 2900 fps/ 155, 2780 fps/ 167, and 2600fps/ 185. The BC makes a difference @600 yards. At a range the difference might be easily overcome since you're shooting at known distances. But when firing at unknown distances the higher BC will be more forgiving if the range is slightly off. Plus higher BC fights the wind better. I always go with the higher BC if the same accuracy is met. Because I shoot in field conditions.

Got a load with the 185gr jug, but not grouping likev155 or the 167, got développement to do
Groups at 100 yards or 600 yards? In either case I'd group whichever was better for distance. But my parameters might be different than yours. So I'd do what best served YOU. What fits MY needs might not serve YOU the best.

Did not try the 185gr at 600y, was sub moa at 100y.

With the 155gr I can hit moa easy, and if my wind reading is good I do hit the 3inch circle.

The 167gr do about the same with 1/2 moa more dropp.

Both load with 167 and the 155gr are 1/4 moa at 100y

I'd go to JBM's, or use a ballistics calculator and just do a comparision with your bullets and velocities. That will give you the a good comparison at 600 yards.

For the moment I use the free one on berger Web site. Im nerver really far up to 600y, might have a chance at 1000y in 2 week so will load some 185gr and 155gr for the event
