As a lefty with lefty kids, I was forced to build a lot of stuff. Not forced I guess, but it was easier. Hard to find a lefty 6.5x47 for example. If shooting righthanded, I think I could get by easily with off the shelf rigs.

In the OP case, I would buy a Kimber short action magnum, and drop a 25 sst barrel on it. Easy and cheap.

I'm about to build a 25 SST on a savage action. A lot of very accurate rifles built on savage action out there for reasonable $.

If I didn't already have a 700 donor rifle I would go Savage or possibly Tikka.
