Bottom metal and magazine for 300 wsm in rem 700 la

I am planning to build a new rifle in 300WSM but want to build it on Rem 700LA so that I can use the longer VLD bullets. If I do this what bottom metal and magazine have you fellows used to insure smooth feeding? Are there any modifications to the hardware that are necessary? I have been looking at the HS Precision hardware.

HS will work fine, you might need to slightly widen the mag lips.
Kwik klip also makes a very inexpensive dbm out of aluminum (steel mag) that would save some weight if your looking for light weight. drops into a 700 bdl inlet as well.

If you listen to anyone on this sight, listen to Jim; dude knows what he's talking about. I run a 6x284 out of a long action 700 with the HS hardware, I like everything about it. Except maybe the cost of mags

I've been opening up the feed rails very light in front, heavy on the back, RH side and cutting a 3/8's window on the LH side, feeds like butter running slow or fast.
