I have been using Accubonds in my .300winmag for years but in recent years I have been looking to be able to take longer shots. The Accubond needs 1800fps to expand and past 400yrds I am getting slower than 1800fps. My question is what is the right bullet? Great accuracy, good performance at high and lower velocity is what I am after.

Any advice would be great

Do you have your gun really loaded down?? I'm shooting the 180 grn Accubond out of my 300 Win. Mag. at 3148 fps. at the muzzle and it stays above 1800 fps out to 925 yds. at 5000 ft. elevation.

I checked the numbers and even at 0 elevation you GTG out 750yrds, if you live at elevation it just gets better, cut the reins loose :D
