Looking at buying a new barrel for my .308 Win. Going back to .308 Win, so trying to keep it easy. So my question is what barrel?

There is a lot of choices out there, I'm not in a hurry so I don't mind waiting. The only caveat is the barrel can't weigh over 3 lbs. The rifle I have is already over 9 lbs by the time I add my suppressor, I don't want it to weigh 10 lbs.

I have a spare Proof SS I'd sell you. I'd say it is more like a #1.
I can dig it out if interested and get exact twist, length and some measurements.
Bought it here and seller had same barrel on a 300 WSM shooting bugholes.

You need to be at 20" with fluting for a 3b to finish at 3lbs

How long do you want the barrel to be?

OMR CF 7mag 8T remage is what I used. I highly recommend. But they will do it for you as well. 300 yard group, .427 moa. Check out their upgrade packages. That rifle, no ammo or bipod weighs 8.5#'s. I think, that might have been with a Razor HD on it. And that's a 26" barrel. Game Hunter stock is pretty lightweight. 28ish oz's.

If I take the light Palma and change the dimensions on D to .800 and F to .725 @ 20" it gets me real close to 3 lbs and 2.5 lbs fluted.

Unfluted

The rifle already is in a Greyboe Trekker, so the contour doesn't matter much. I can work with just about anything.

Thanks for the offer, but it'll probably be lighter than I want.
