Ballistic Coefficient 30cal.

What do you look for in a bullets Ballistic Coeffiecient? For example a 150grain bullet has a 251 coefficient. That same 150 grain bullet of a different manufacturer has a 270 coefficient. Which is the better BC? Do you look for a lower number or higher number?
