In my 7 mag the 162 gr Amax has been perfect from 80 yds to 1100 yds on whitetails. Has worked like a charm in my 243 also.

Steel Slinger-- What twist in your 6.5 swede?? I saw a box of 140gr Amax today and they said 1-7.5" or faster twist. This is a round I'm considering for a Coues deer hunt this fall.

My Remmy has a 1 in 8 twist 22" barrel. I don't think you will be at all unhappy with the O'le Swede. Good luck on your hunt.

One of the best if not the bullets out there in my humble opinion. I can always get them to shoot as well or better than anything else. Very forgiving to load for and devastating on deer sized game.
