I'm tired of it already. I'd delete it if I could. As long as everyone plays within the Site Rules, it will be fine.

All too often theses are the same people that want all hunting STOPPED. Who's gonna pay for it all then ???I have for years said that people that view the wildlife, should pay a fee. We pay with hunting licenses, The tree huggers need to pay too.
I don't have a problem with user fees. I think the greeny should pay also.
I have a load of points in Az., Ut., Nv., Co., Ca. and Wy. I'll never use.I have for years said that people that view the wildlife, should pay a fee. We pay with hunting licenese, and can be in several states at one time. I have several points in WY, and keep paying each year. About to stop that, being I am 78 now. The cost is somewhere over $200.00 and going up each year. I am about to cut my losts. I have something like 12 to 14 points. So the cost go up, and not hunt. With fires and winters, it has taken it toll. Got the short straw again. The tree hugger need to pay too.

I didn't say they could vote on it.All too often theses are the same people that want all hunting STOPPED. Who's gonna pay for it all then ???
I have 27 points for elk in Utah. I have to buy a hunting license every year. Thats a pile of money to me but I play the gameI don't like how Utah gouges non residents on license and tag fees. This year will almost double. I tried to burn my deer points last year with 16. Couldn't even draw a marginal area. Wyoming, Colorado, Arizona, Montana, California do the same. Nevada isn't real bad. You know why they do it ? Because they can. I have a lot of $ invested in licenses and points in a lot of states that I'll never draw. Points... lol. There a money making ripoff if there ever was one.
That's a whole different topic.
I had to go back and edit all the spellcheck bs.
Times that by 6 states for elk. deer.antelope. rocky mountain bighorn .desert bighorn .Nelson bighorn. bear. It is a pile.I have 27 points for elk in Utah. I have to buy a hunting license every year. Thats a pile of money to me but I play the game
And who do you propose is supplying the 650 million acres of "habitat, forage and space to live on..." that all the animals need? Who do you expect is keeping the roads, campgrounds, trailheads, bathrooms etc that you use when you access your public lands...keeping access open and functioning....administering grazing permits to meet prescriptions, keeping cattle off and out of sensitive native habitat that wildlife benefits from....sure it's not perfect but it's not as one dimensional as some paint it.I don't understand this concept of paying money to look at animals.
I can understand it if its a zoo.
Wild animals don't need money to survive . What they need is habitat to forage and space to live on. Governments don't provide any of that.
Only people need money to buy goods and services. I would like to see 1 government agency that actually runs effectively and efficiently.
Maybe im just a little bit negative to think that as a whole the Robertson and Pittman act actually uses tax dollars for the benefit sportsmans and all wildlife.
Seem to me the government is more worried about reintrodution of predators and eliminating the outdoor life style, unless its a nature park with board walks and shuttles to drive people around.
I live in the west. Utah in fact, I know who is paying money to keep lands open and it's not the Government. And who do you propose is supplying the 650 million acres of "habitat, forage and space to live on..." that all the animals need? By my estimation that stuff takes money and effort. Sure it's all your land but it doesn't take care of itself. I'd recommend pulling up a map of public land in America. I'm thankful the west doesn't look like Central or Eastern America. The wildlife need the west to look like it does. It's not corn fields and flat lands out here. It's goverment protections of public land that helps wildlife.
You sound like an uneducated ranting grump.I live in the west. Utah in fact, I know who is paying money to keep lands open and it's not the Government.
Look at the non profits like the Rocky mnt elk foundation, mule deer, turkeys unlimited, ducks unlimited, pheasants forever.
Yes the forest service sucks the turds out of the out-houses but look at what a great and fantastic job they have done managing the forests. They are a gas can waiting for a match because of their no burn polices. That land has been here before Columbus even thought about a boat. Governments dont protect anything, people in Government try to protect recorces but just go ask any rancher in the west if grazing has become easier or harder. You may recall the Bundy stand off with the feds over grazing rights. And no I'm not advocating for more public land to be sold like our Utah senator Mike Lee would love to do.
Im saying Governments dont solve anything by taxing more and more money. Just go look at any so called war on poverty, drugs etc all you get is more of what we don't want. But yet the bureaucracy just keeps increasing with zero effectiveness. If you love paying more taxes for wildlife fine by me but I'd rather give my money to a more productive entity.
Why the name calling. " uneducated ranting grump" why because I don't like seeing my tax dollars used against me to close off roads? to pay more fees to use land that Im allready paying for?You sound like an uneducated ranting grump.
What do we need to ask ranchers about? The $1.23 an AUM that the American taxpayers are going broke on? Yes your tax dollars helping to subsidize the grazing industry in the west so ranchers can profit while you help pay for it. Why are you not up in arms about that? Yet you're upset about the couple dollars we're now charging other groups at access points? It seems odd to me people are upset about requiring others to help do their parts.
The federal government land is protected (hopefully forever). It's there for a multitude of things. Including wildlife. You're rant about taxes is understandable but very shallow. What's your proposal then?
Free for all for everyone? No fees for grazing, access or administration? Everyone is free to do whatever they want wherever they want on federal ground from here on out? No more taxes ever? Get rid of all the land management agencies?
I said you sound like one. I'm advocating for people to pay their share and you're mad because you want to keep carrying them on your back. If you want to keep your head in the sand that's fine. I think hunters and anglers foot the bill for for too many other groups. I'm not sad others are being required to come to the table as well. Why the name calling. " uneducated ranting grump" why because I don't like seeing my tax dollars used against me to close off roads? to pay more fees to use land that Im allready paying for?
You're advocating for more taxes for a group of people that you don't think pay their fare share ok I understand that.
Just don't be surprised when it comes back to bite you in your rear end.
Also Im done responding to someone that has to resort to name calling that thinks thats how to win a argument. Thats not educational. Also my 1st job was working for the forest service I've seen frist hand the wast in that agency
Good day.
