This is my dad's buddy Aaron and his second Arizona cow elk taken with a muzzleloader on Tuesday last week. Aaron is a good Ole Texas boy and spent 40 years putting in for OK elk and never got a tag . At 75 he's just a little busted up with a bad back that was broken and a leg he broke falling outa a tree stand. Being the good guy he is he played sick for the morning hunt as he thought my dad and I would hunt his spot as he had been seeing elk . Just bulls not any cows. We hadn't seen any elk yet. I went and checked on him at lunch and ran him to his spot and sat with him . At about 5 we had two bulls at water and I glassed another on the way in . As the bull got closer he had somehow pushed a cow to water . Aaron made a good hit and rocked her . She made it about 15 feet as the big bull tried to mount her one last time.
