7prc velocities

2910 with a 21 inch Ace 8 twist, Peterson brass, cci250, 180vld hunting, and tbac ultra 5. 175 rounds fired

I have a 26 inch carbon benchmark 7prc as well. 3120fps over n570 but it hated the powder, impressive velocity though without pressure. 2975 with retumbo was easily attainable as well. Still doing load work on it so not a finished project yet.

I'm getting 2950 with the hornady 175 eldx precision hunter ammo with a 26 inch carbon six barrel. I haven't start reloading yet just wondering what others are seeing
I'm getting 2982 with 68.8 grains of h1000 3 rd loading on hornandy brass out of a 22 inch Oregon Mountain Rifle carbon barrel with 4.4 standard deviation

I forgot 175 hornandy eldx pills

Yeah kinda surprised me , on a 116 stainless savage action

I was right around 2925 out of a 22" with the 175 hornady factory load. Will be testing more soon.

will be testing

retumbo
h1000
4831sc

theyre all loaded up and ready to test.

After testing with 4831sc, and the new Garmin, this powder is providing better speeds than h1000. Still more testing to do with this powder.

Got a question for you guys . Talking with a friend of mine about 6.5 prc 24 in barrel 143 grain hornandy eldx he said his bullet was "blowing up on impact " at 300 yards or less but anything over that he was getting proper expansion on elk / deer any ideas why?

i'd venture to say the bullet construction isn't designed for large game hunting period,if it's that ticky especially at close ranges and higher velocity.

I shoot the exact same round on a savage and have never had a problem with the hornandy eldx rounds that is a hunting round and for a factory loaded round ,decent sd's decent fps but always accurate so I'm not sure what the problem was 1:8 twist barrel so who knows I wasn't there

Having shot the 143 eldx I find that comment questionable. It has not been my experience. Of course as the bullet slows down it's not going to expand as much. Inside 100 yds I have always got an exit and a dead critter.

Exactly my experience, I shoot 143 eldx in a 6.5 prc 6.5 Creedmoor and a 7 prc never once had to chase a critter . My 7 prc with Hornandy 175 eldx factory at 275 with a neck shot on a whitetail almost took her head off , my guess it was a shooter error
