7prc velocities

I'm getting 2950 with the hornady 175 eldx precision hunter ammo with a 26 inch carbon six barrel. I haven't start reloading yet just wondering what others are seeing

Sounds right
Less capacity than a 7 RM which will send a 180 around 3000 fps

Look at what people are typically getting when hand loading a 7 mag. Way more info out there on that, and that is the performance you will get at equal pressure.

I was right around 2925 out of a 22" with the 175 hornady factory load. Will be testing more soon.

To each their own, not knocking anyone for trying new calibers. I just don't understand all these new hornady prc calibers. Except ability to use longer target bullets, what benefit does kne get above same calibers that's been around for 100yrs. Ballistics are so close in comparison to high high $$$$ prc ammo. Seems to be $$$ game with Hornady, or maybe I'm just too old fashioned

Well I have had a lot of 7 rem mags and I've never had a 7 rem mag load first trip out. In my experience the 7 prc was much easier to find accuracy. 7 rems are very accurate also but with more effort. The 7prc for me was the easy button.

7prc is easier to load for. 7rm is a great round for sure. I wanted something in the 20-22" range that could shoot heavies with good speed Suppressed. Non-belted case is a bonus.

I maxed at about 3000 with H1000 and 3060 with R26, 24" 1-8 TW, 175 elite hunters. Accuracy was found 40-60 less.
Intend to try 180 HT next

Close to the same, found accuracy at 2950 out of 22" barrel with h1000 and 175 Berger. I stopped before showing pressure signs.

I like 560 in my 25 Sherm LA, just havent tested the temp sensitivity.
It gives good velocity

Never used vihtahouri powders. Are the 560,
565, 570 considered dirty or hard on throats?

that I couldn't tell you. I shoot suppressed doesn't seem to make to bad of a carbon ring.

I'm getting 2,850 with the 175 ELDX factory load out of a 21" Bartlein 8 twist with about 50 rounds through it.
