7 wsm or 7 LRM

I didn't mention anything to them about doing the crown but I'm sure they would. I was thinking about just having them do the chamber work and then have my gunsmith do the crown and muzzle brake.

Montanarifleman,
You are so right, I did misread your post and I apologize.

If I was going to do a 7 WSM, it would be a 7/300 WSM with Norma brass
This is what my buddies plan was, but, the smith who happens to be a buddy of his got the wrong reamer which was a regular 7wsm. But it shoots very well with the RL 33 and the 180 hybrid. Also I was wrong about the 65 grns. He is using 67 in the norma brass

66grs of H1000 behind a Berger 184 produces 3,000 fps from my 26" bbl 7mm WSM .
Yeah but 7 WSM died back in 2013 with this thread…….

J/K love my WSM and agree 180 @ 3000fps isn't a challenge with todays powders. RL26 is getting my 175 ABLR to 3000fps in a 23" with some room to grow if I wanted.

Merry Xmas.

Neither !! The plain Jane ho-hum 7mm R M will do everything either will do with far far far less expense and anxiety for basically zero gain....
