I want to rebarrel my 284 to 6.5x284 lapua. I need help on what tight neck reamer to buy? What I really need is for someone to measure a 6.5x284 lapua loaded with a 140 berger? I need the neck ID for the loaded 6.5x284 lapua so I can order my reamer?

If you mean 6.5-284 Norma with Lapua brass the measurement is .294".

Yes. Thats it. 6.5x284 with lapua brass and a 140 berger. I have the bullets. I have a 6.5 barrel. I have a 6.5x284 modified case. I only need 6.5x284 lapua brass and a reamer. I was thinking about buying= ordering a .297 reamer. Thanks .

I've got a Lapua case in hand with a 140g. Nosler Custom Comp bullet seated,,, mics .294+". .297" would be about right,,,,, .0015" clearance on each side. C.I.P. drawing shows 7.53mm which is .2968" (calculated).

My reamer is .297 and I use a .294 bushing in my Wilson size die in my 6.5-284. I found that VV-N560 screams in the 6.5-284 with 130 Accubonds or 130 Bergers. I have forgotten all about the heavy bullets.

What velocities are you getting?? Mcwhorter used that for my 338 lapua but I can never find that stuff around me.
