6.5x284 Norma build

Hey everyone
I've done a lot of research and can't seem to find any info on this but im building a 6.5x284 Norma in a savage 110 action and Im not sure what barrel length will be best
It's going to be mostly a range gun. I'm not worried about the weight. I'll more then likely shooting the 140 gr VLDs. Any input will be very appreciated

A shooting buddy of mine just finished up a 6.5x284 build on a Stiller action. He used a Bartlein barrel that finished at 25" with a #7 contour. The 25" #7 contour barrel is a good happy medium between a longer barrel for velocity and the stiffness of a shorter, fatter barrel for accuracy. I would have went with a 26" barrel but that's just me, really no difference between the two honestly. He is shooting the 140gr Berger Hunting VLDs into one hole with it so he's happy.
