This group was shot by Jason Baney with Eurooptic on Thursday 5/8/14 at ExtremeOutdoorLimits shooting school in Madrus, Oregon. Rifle is mine all I need to do is be as good a shot as Jason.

I don't know how to comment on this. WOW seems very inadequate. I have never ever, had a rifle or the ability or the eyesight to duplicate something like that. Your rifle and your friend have set the bar very high.

Incredible shooting and a beautiful rifle!

Thanks! Jason is a Bench rest shooter and very accomplished at it. We went to 1800 yards but the energy was gone and had hits but not consistent. We never reached the 2000 yard target energy was gone. :) gun)

That is a very sharp looking rifle, well done my friend. Hats of to your buddy for some incredible shooting... I am not worthy! :D

Just out of curiosity : what powder, bullet, primer, velocity are you using out of that rifle. Very impressive by the way.

Lapua Brass
Federal 210 Primer
Hodgdon Hybird 100 (49.7 grains)
140 Grain Berger VLD Hunting bullet
COAL 3.070 inches
3040 FPS according to chronograph

6.5's RULE! And the 6.5-284 is the king of them. It's got just enough "omph" to do long range shooting but not so much as to burn out a barrel quickly and it sits at the edge of being a tolerable recoiling round for an all day competition.

Great shooting!

Not a Barrel Burner??? Totally Disagree.

I'm also a big fan of the 6.5284 for the reasons given by Litehiker. While the barrel life isn't in the class of 308, 30-06, etc, I haven't found it much different than many of the commonly used magnums in 264-300 class. Seems better than the Weatherbys and some of the short mags. I get 1000-1500 out of mine before I see a .25-.5MOA change in group size.
