6.5 PRC Barrel Concern

The attached pictures were taken at the breech end of my Bartlein 3B barrel. This is my first time using a bore scope, but this doesn't look right to me. Should I be concerned?

Where at the breech end? Is your pic taken at the cartridge case neck mouth, within your chamber?

That's what it looks like, but not for sure

Hmmm...
Still not sure of location, but if the pic is the case neck mouth location in your chamber, it receives the full brunt of the flames exiting the case mouth. That fire cracking / checkered appearance looks about normal, and is caused by the flame temperature and erosion from gun powder and hot gases exiting the cartridge case on the barrel steel. Nothing can be done to avoid that. Each shot fired takes its toll on the barrel.

I say keep on shooting it, as if you never saw your photo. Provided it shoots good.

As stated, firecracking is a fact of life. Especially for PRC. How do the lands and rifling look?

I have a 308 barrel with over 4K down the tube that looks like alligator skin. But still shoots fantastic.

Rock on. Nothing to worry about. I would say it looks very typical for around 250 rounds. Maybe even better than some I've saw with less rounds.

Thats just some fire cracking. Perfectly normal especially for something like a 6.5 prc

I think a bore scope causes more worries than they are worth.
