6.5 300 weatherby

I bought one and I'm looking any good load data
S Bowen
Here are my loads.
Berger 130 VLD Hunting, 3.589 COAL, Retumbo, I started at 80.5 grs. All Weatherby Brass, New.
Two best loads were:
80.5 - 3396fps
81.8 - 3441 avg fps / 10.0 SD
Current - 82.0 - 3439 fps
I did not see any signs of pressure in my rifle at 82.0
I had 72.5/3140fps as start and 81.5/3293fps from Berger Data.

Barnes TTSX 120GR - 3.600 COAL Retumbo
Best load 82.3 grs - 3557fps avg. / 13.0 SD.

Hope this helps. Good luck and you know the disclaimer stuff.

Have you tried berger 156 yet

Okay thanks for your help
YW, the 156 is offered as a factory load and I was going to try it. But not at $110/20 rounds.
Price has dropped on this and the hammer bullet option from $110 to $88 on both.

A box of 20 new brass is $52. 9all Weatherby.com prices. $37 more to include the loaded round because I would/will purchase the brass and the factory round will get me a starting point for load development by a little reverse engineering. Then I can try and up the speed to find the next node if possible.

I wish you all the best with your journey with this great round.
