6.5-284 question

I have a Model 7 action that was a 7mm-08. and a Model 700 that was a .220 Swift. The question is will this action work with the 6.5-284? Thanks in advance.

..."yes & no"...either boltface works but long action is preferred if you plan to load to the potential of this cartridge i.e. higher b.c. bullets, longer oal etc; too long to fit magazine, but can always single feed...
