IMG_1369.JPG
mill spec 5rss 300wm in xlr chassis and gl shock but stock with recoil dampening action...very manageable recoil pulse with a can or muzzel brake

barrel and action have been cryo treated....im thinking of changing my muzzle brake adapter to a 360 flash hider ...i don't like timing snd shimming the muzzel brake ...

Load data won't change by brand of rifle.

Choose your preferred bullet and powders and start with listed data from the proper manuals and you'll soon figure out what works for that rifle.

I have loaded several different .300WMs with 210 Berger HVLD and 215 Hybrids over 75.0-77.0 gr H1000. End results have been great accuracy, good speeds, and quite a few dead elk! Start low and work up in your rifle.

My Remington Milspec 300WM/24" shoots 200gr ELD-x, 210, and 215 Bergers at 2960-2900fPS with 77-79g of Retumbo/215M. 75-100FPS less with 74-76 gr H1000. All loads shoot .25-.5MOA with ES <12FPS. I use Norma brass. Work loads up 1-2gr lower then shown.

I've used 212 and 200 eldx in my 300wby, they're very effective hunting bullets. With the 212s I don't have enough mag length to play with my coal and reduce my es which 24 I think and they shoot at 2840 fps. With the 200s I got them at 2990 with an es of 14. Much better load and out to 600 they're flatter and same wind drift as the 212s. Sometimes the real 'heavies' have diminishing returns in realistic hunting ranges. Something to consider when selecting a bullet.
