.308 Win

I was wondering if anyone with a chronograph and a .308 Winchester could give me the velocity of a 165 grain J36 bullet with a 26 inch barrel?

That would be hard to give a velocity without a specific loading for it.

Look in any loading manual that has a rifle with a 26" barrel and match up your load with the bullet that you mentioned and you will be able to find the velocity.

The speed varies from 2432 fps to 2773 fps. for that bullet
