308 and 168 tsx.. range?

Whats the farthest you would hunt big game, using this combination?

I plan on using 168SMK ( I get them cheaper the the 175grain )for practice, and TSX for hunting. But, Im not sure how far I could shoot, and still get resonable expansion. Any ideas?

Elk: x yards?

TSX are supposed to iniate expansion down to 1800 FPS. The new TTSX are designed to open as low as 2000 FPS...Thw TTSX in 168 grain require 200 FPS more velocity to open according to Barnes...
