hi,
am looking for your favorate loads using beger bullets of 165 to 190 grain.what are your velocites are you getting?
gary b...

I have been using 185gr. bergers with H-1000 77grs. seated at 3.450" out of my savage 110. I don't have a chrono YET so help there. My 200yd zero has been less than 1/2" I also have some 190gr. bergers I haven't loaded or shot yet but so far I am happy with the accuracy with the others.

My 300 win mag likes 74.5-rl19, and a 168 barnes TSX, and a 215 GM primer. Velocity is right at 3152, with low SD, ES. I don't have the OAL with me at the moment, but this load is ver consistent. Also have done well with rl22 , but the 19 does better, as my barrel is at 24 inches. Work up to the load with caution of course.

I have a couple of long range hammers for the 300 WM. I push 215 grain Bergers at 2930 fps with 77.7 grains of Retumbo in Remington brass. I also have a Berger 230 load at 2800 fps with 75.3 grains of Retumbo. Both loads were developed for my Remington 5r. I use Fed 215m primers with the bullets touching the lands.

Was kind of bored this weekend so we tried some 215 gr bergers in my 300 win mag. It was almost minus 40 with the wind. So it was a quick test.
F-215 primers 78Gr of H-1000 with the 215 Gr hybrid .055 of the lands at 2950 fps.
It was in a Model 70classic Winchester. Didn't spend a lot of time shooting but it shot good, under an inch for sure.

I usually shoot a 180 gr hornady with 77gr of r-22 at 3070 fps.

I was wondering this same thing. I have a Browning A bolt with the BOSS and I had it tuned for Barnes. Never measured the velocity and it was a Barnes AMmo load. Now I am reloading and I think the barrel is 24 inches. WOndering if I should use something a bit faster burning than the H-1000. ALso I have some bergers that I have loaded and planning to shoot soon.
Thanks for the input..

I have an a-bolt stainless stalker lh boss in 300 win. I simply locked the boss at ten turns out and left it as it really just walks the groups around and does little for accuracy.
As far as loads for a 300 win, rl22 with 165's (78 rl22 and a 165 hornady at 3.34" lit by a 215) or rl22 and 7828 on 180's. If you want to step up to 200 grain pills a compressed charge of retumbo will nearly put the 300 win up with the 30 rum velocity wise.
