A few long range shooting magazines have said that, with the Berger 230 gr. .30 cal. bullet the .300 Win. mag. does "...95% of what the .338 LM does..." for Army snipers.
So it's possible I'll stay with my HS Pecision .300 Win mag target rifle (until it needs re-barreling, that is. Then I'll likely go with the .300 Norma mag).
