I am considering working up a 30-30 load in either 120gr or 143gr Hammer Lever for an old Marlin. Doing a search on the Hammer Board, I see loads with LVR and CFE223 powder, but nothing with Varget. Does anyone have a load to share?

I am showing that Varget is a couple of steps faster burning than CFE223, which is the powder that Steve recommends. What powder do you recommend?
I ran varget in quickload and came up with 111% case fill and only burns 86% of the powder and 2500 fps at max pressure. Leverevolution was designed for for the lever guns and gives higher speeds at lower pressure. When I loaded 30-30 I had good results with Win 748 and 180 gr Interlocks. Hammers tend to like faster burning powders IME. Given the small capacity of the 30-30, Id go with a ball powder. Just my .02
