180 SST's are just so cheap though. And so destructive.

I have good groups with 150 grainers using 49.0 grains of IMR 3031, 2900 fps. IMR 4350 works great too at 59.0 to 60.0 grains (full case) at 3000 fps.

Exactly....Even if it's not really justifiable, I still like to know I got the most out of the case. Which is why I like Ackley's cartridges.

I'm shooting 150 ballistic tips @ 3117 avg fps with win cases, reloader 17, and fed215 primers. Shoots around 5/8" groups at 100.

Surprised. Well I suppose not surprised, disappointed. Tooling is expensive, I doubt they expect demand to stay so high

I can wait I just settled for some 200grn.smks which shoot very well out of my '06 took them to 1000 last Saturday hit 16x16" plate consistently after I got dialed in. It will be late August before I have enough empty brass to work up a load with the bergers...

150 grain Barnes TTSX with RL-17 , WW case FED 210 primer ( in my rifle only ) Winchester with a 24" barrel and 60 grains @ 3100 fps + and groups very consistent.

My 1 game rifle has now come into play for all my getting'er done up here in Western Canada.

A Old school Ruger M77 Mark II with factory 20" barrel.


I was going too use Frugal priced Semi Round nose Winchester 180gr flat bases out of it with IMR 4350,,, but I test run some Hornady 150gr'ers with IMR 4064 as they shoot nice.

50gr of IMR 4064 pushing 150gr'er at ruffly 2850 ft-per second with Federal cases CCI Bench Rest Primers.

Good for all furry critters up here with in 40 too 300 yards +.

I'll drop back too 125 too 130gr'ers after harvest season. They are for predator control.
