Anyone running the .284 177 gr Hammer Hunter? What BC are you using for accurate drop out to 1000 yards? Also speed and twist rate. Thanks for any input

I was using .237 G7 BC. Had it going right around 3000 fps with a 8 twist.

So the .313 is way off?
Yessir…it was for me.
The 169 Gr hammer hunter was better for me. I used the same BC as the 177 Gr but I was able to push it faster.

Thats my experience with the 131 6.5mm. Way lower than advertised
I did a test at 800 yards on some pigs with the 169 Gr hammers. Muzzle velocity was 3120 fps and very good accuracy. I still had above 1800 fps at impact and they opened and performed great. Just gotta dial more.

It definitely isn't no .313 G7. I was shooting them at 3250fps out of a 1-8 twist. I would start around .26 G7. That should get you on target at 800. Then you can adjust from there.

Thanks everyone, you've confirmed my experience with the hammers as well. They Hammer but the BC's are inflated on the website.

When we first designed the bullet we shot it for drops and got the bc that is on it. We have been getting the oehler 89 running, but last range session it had trouble. Gotta get some hunting done the next week or so. We'll get the 177g Hammer Hunter to the top of the list to test.
