I would also look for IMR 7828 SSC. I have excellent luck out of both my .25-06 AI and .30-06 AI with it and heavy-for-caliber bullets. Those calibers are on both sides of the .280 AI, and in my mind, logic would dictate that it would work well in it, as well.

I finally had a chance to try 168 bergers .22 off of lands. 55.5 imr 4831. 3shots under an 1nch at 200 yds. 4th shot spread to 1.5 inches. Gonna chronograph and see how fast. Thanks for everyones input.
