Long time lurker here have a quick question. Im about to pull the trigger on a 280 and cant decide whether I should go the AI route or not. The only thing Im worried about is feeding. Do any of you run repeaters in 280 AI, does it work? Im planning on running a savage centerfeed to be more specific. Thanks for any input.

This is certainly a valid question when going to a minimum taper case, I have 3 Ackley improved rifles. 2 are Remington 700s and one is a Ruger. None have had to be altered to help with feeding. All feed quite well, and none have had a problem.
I don't have a Savage, however, I think that there wouldn't be any problem with their feeding either.

I turned a savage in 308 into an 260AI and I have no feeding issues... It is the centre feed magazine.

I have a savage 110 that was a 30/06 that I have rebarreled to .280 AI that works very well, it has a center feed box. You will be happy with the AI version.
