My 28 should be done this week so I will hopefully be starting load development soon. I see tons of info for the 195 but it seems the 180's there isn't quite as much info out there.
I have 180 hybrids and ELD-M's ready to go. What powders are you guys seeing the best results with?

I have H-1000, Retumbo and 7828ssc on hand. What else should I try? Thanks for any info

I don't own a 28 nosler but I am somewhat intrigued by it. Check out hodgdons reloading info. They list the 180 berger with data. Might help. ctw

I've never loaded a 28nosler but that should be a pretty good selection, something should work of those three

81 gr Retumbo with 180 Berger was chronoing 3132 Fps out of a Stalk XBolt. If I remember correctly the SD was 6.

I use H1000 for the 175s and 180s in my 28 Nosler. I am at 77.5gr and getting 3187fps. For the 195s I am using 78.2gr Retumbo and hitting the 3070fps accuracy node. Have tried RL33 but it did not give me the accuracy or fps that these do. Good Luck!

My 28 Nosler is throated for 180's and has a freebore of around .180". My current load is 81grs. Retumbo and 180 Scenar or Hybrids get 3140 fps. H1000 is another powder that works great but a tad slower at around 80grs wit speeds around 3100 fps.

My 28 Nosler using 180 Berger in a 1:8 twist 26" barrel, I have found Retumbo at 80.7 grains at .020 off the lands is very accurate and Chrono an average 3117 fps. I am working on some RE33 loads in 180, but had to stop when the TX heat kicked in, once it cools down, I plan to restart and see if I can get a load in RE33. Just before the summer heat started I did get to 85.5 gr of RE33 that was accurate, but have not fine tuned it or had a chance to Chronograph it.

I use RL33 85-86 gr and cci250 primers with the berger 175 elite hunter and get 3150fps very low es and bughole groups.

I've been loving the cartridge. So far all my accuracy nodes have been at around the max loads, and my most consistent load so far is with US 869 and the 175 ABLR 0.015" off the lands running just over 3300 fps
