intrested in this caliber for long range hunting and target shooting.already have a 6.5-284 and would like to try this round for somthing differt thinking of having it put on a custom rifle. nesika bay action, 28" Hart barrel and shahane traker stock, night force scope. also would like to talk to any custom gun smith about this cartidge

Ray Romain has the reamer for this round. I considered it myself once. It really gets some impressive velocity. Even though it has about the same capacity as the 25-06, it seems to generate considerably more velocity and can be done in a short action. Check www.accuratereloading.com as they tested it.
