I was thinking about a new lightweight build. Anyone have any real world velocity on a 30-06 vs a 300wsm in a 22" barrel? I know I would give up a little in a short mag 22" but I would like the short action. Might even be worth it if velocity was same.

There is no question that the wsm would have far more velocity! Probably at least 250'. ....rich
