No one has seen it here I guess. I just stumbled on the NRA mag that was out with an article.
Wonder how this will market?

Responded on the other thread, but I'll re iterate it here.

It appears to be a solution for the areas with mono metal requirements alone. From the videos and articles I've read it doesn't appear to improve much on the current crop of non toxic 22lr ammo in the way of accuracy. We currently have hunting grade 22lr not toxic, 22 wmr and 17 hmr non toxic, heck there is sporadic ntx tipped 17hm2. The concentric circles on the vent diagram don't leave a lot of need.

The 17 hm2 didn't catch as fast as it didn't convert as easily the 22lr rifles. I've several 1022 variants with heavy bolts with tens of thousands of rounds down range, but the initial issues with pressure spikes were a wet blanket on the launch. Maybe this round could be a more straightforward lateral switch. Clearly they went to great lengths to maintain use of existing lr brass, guessing it will spike less pressure than the 17hm2.


Appears to be a solution in need of a problem... eventually someone will make a 1022 barrel and I'll get one. Haven't seen any ammo on the shelf yet but did order a few boxes online to a relatives house in the lower 48. Guessing it ends up between the 17 Aguilla and the old 591 sitting in my safe getting dusty.

Agree. It has to have some thing(s) that will beat the 22LR. I'm certainly a wait and see kind of guy. Feeding problems and FTF issues I've had with a few brands of 22LR and some with bad accuracy (some w/ real good accuracy). If this new 21 ammo improves on that consistently, I'd give it a try. Not too many rifles in 21 bore for it so not much in the way of solid reviews or better firearm designs.
The only thing different is the bullet lineup, not the cartridge. Speed is definitely up.
