2022 elk unit options?

Glad to see someone mention it, but yes, be careful looking at harvest success numbers. They tend to get skewed pretty dramatically based on amount of private land in a unit and the number of PLO tags given. If you are going DIY on public it can be a dramatically different experience. But... its elk hunting and there is nothing better than being out there.
 
When searching on GoHunt and using the public land filter, all of the units with 70%+ public land seem to have roads/ATV trails galore. I always try to get in 3-4 miles by foot to get away. The hard part is finding a "public" unit where you can go in 3-4 miles and not be closer to a road on the other end, specifically when looking at Colorado's unit's 18 & 24. Maybe there are better units that still have 1st season nonres odds at 100% without a point?
