2013 - Pennsylvania Elk Hunting/Application

Just applied for the 2013 PA Elk Drawing! I applied for antlered only, Zone 4. Last year I applied antlered only any zone. But I saw some really nice bulls last year scouting for bear in 4 so we will see!

Applications due by midnight August 25, 2013. Drawing date is in September, date to be determined!

I think I've heard there are around 20,000 applicants .

They increased the number of tags. (86 total)

Probably like Michigan. Chances are better you'll get run over going to your mailbox than pulling a tag.

I'd like to get in on the hunt they have in Ohio at the Ravenna Aresenal. That place is loaded with game. I hear it's a political thing, that you can't get in unless you are connected.....lol

I missed the drawing today because of work. I called a guy from work who said I didn't draw! O well! Anyone have any luck! Joel Russo, did you have any luck this year?

my mother watched it . I think in about 2 weeks you can check your license online .

I hope the Elk are bigger than the deer I've seen along the Pennsylvania Turnpike and I80. Those deer look like large dogs....

Anyway, I hope someone on here pulled a tag.

Here in Michigan if you draw, a DNR officer accompanies you when you hunt, for what purpose, I have no idea. If it was me, I'd have him (or her) carry the hot cocoa and pack it out... animal that is.
