thinking about getting a Browning X-Bolt Micro for a tight quarters deer blind gun. I need the short LOP (12.5") choice of calibers:

7mm-08
6.5 Creedmoor

In a 20" barrel will the Creed give up much to the 7-08?

I reload for both, fyigun)

7mm-08 gets my vote. Very often underestimated cartridge. Hunted with one for many years, excellent deer cartridge. 7mm-08 or .308 is hard to go wrong with in a 20" barrel, IMO.

I would much prefer the 6.5 myself.

The 6.5CM and .260 Rem were both developed with short barrels in mind.
