What are your thoughts on this one cartridge? Seems like it's a blast to shoot.

Just picked this up, Anschutz 1517What are your thoughts on this one cartridge? Seems like it's a blast to shoot.
Yeah I hear ya. I have a 17 Horny and a 22 Horny. IMO not having to reload em is a plus. Love my 17's.My brother has 2 of them among other rifles he takes to the PD fields. Loves the dam things. They are OK to shoot but I hate all the trash they generate. Well that and I can shoot a 17 or 22 hornet for the same money or less if I play my cards right. If you could buy a box of 500 rounds and not have to pay for 10 plastic boxes (to throw away) they would be a little more tolerable.
Right now I have the car loaded up with my CZ 457 in 17HMR. I'm heading out to do some shooting with a couple boxes of the 20 grain bullets, I also find them more accurate than the .17 grain in my gun. I like the small cartridge but it does seem to produce a lot of carbon fowling. With mine I get the most accuracy out of it with the first 25 rounds and a clean barrel after firing a couple fowling shots. It's my go to varmint rifle for about 250 yards and in. I use the 20 grain ammo mostly as I feel it kills woodchucks a bit better. It also shoots tighter groups than the 17 grain ammo
