156 Berger, 143 ELDX or 147 ELDM

Hello everyone! We have the 147 ELDM, 143 ELDX, and the 156 Berger EOL currently right now and have all of them shooting 1/2 in groups in a 6.5 PRC. Just trying to decide which one to stick with. Shots will be ranging from 100-450 yards primarily on whitetail and mule deer. For those who have shot all 3, which do you recommend sticking with as far as game performance, consistency, etc.

Of those, and in the PRC, I'd definitely go with the 156gr Berger. Plenty of sectional density for the type of bullet construction to ensure good balance of expansion vs penetration and it'll give you excellent external ballistics as well.

Use it with confidence, even at those ranges you stated.

That's the .320 sectional density going to work for you . Definitely a great combo.

143 and 147 often cause extensive entry side damage. Best choice is the Berger.

Is your cartridge a relatively low velocity (less than 2900 fps mv) cartridge? If so, and shots are kept under 450 yards….. Do you have any other bullet choices? At those ranges ….a low drag, high BC bullet offers minimal benefits. However, a bullet offering stronger construction does!!! memtb
