I have a place to shoot 125 yards on my property. From the same bench I can also shoot 0-50 yds. Because of the terrain I basically can't shoot in between because it's in a ditch. With two known yardages what else would I need to come up with my own trajectory chart? I'm guessing that a chronograph would be helpful. Maybe there's an app that you guys are using.

Yes, a chronograph is helpful. "I" prefer knowing the "actual" drop (and yes, I have chronos and ballistic apps) when I am creating my own chart, esp. at LR, but that's just me.

I shoot those ranges with a .22 pellet (25gr) at ground squirrels with dope every 5yds. Federal Premium online ballistics calculator is free and bang on with AB app.

What are you shooting?

I think need for a Chrono is determined by your definition of accuracy.
I have a very inexpensive Lab Radar if anyone needs one.

One of the best investments I think I made was a Kestrel with AB. It's has been spot on for me out past 1000 yards. I've taken rifles to competitions that I'd never shot that far before and was making hits out to 1k+.
