So you're saying that the only logic to his position would include the price points you decide for us. No other logic to preferring NOT to use a supressor other than making sure the price points match up to your statement of logical preference. Got it.

This is the reason why some rats never get the cheese.

The real bad faith surrounding the topic is the supressor companies and their outrageous arbitrary price points. They've duped a lot of us. I stopped drinking kool-aid in my early teens.

I have been shooting since I was 10, never needed a suppressor. But at 66 my hearing sucks, probably due in part to my work and shooting before we had ear protection. I currently own 3 suppressors. A Dead Air Nomad L, a Dead Air Nomad ti xc w/E Brake and a Exigent Defense Vanish 556. I learned a long time ago it only costs a little more to go 1st class, cheap **** don't work and will never be more than cheap **** !

I now own four suppressors, brand isn't important. Their all good models.
I shoot at the range with them to protect what little hearing I've left! And those shooting next to me. If set up in a blind and using a bog pod tripod I'm using a suppressor! Hunting in tight spots where the extra length of the rifle is an issue I use a break or lighter recoil rifle, my (CZ Grendel). But my hearing is of utmost importance to me.
Totally deft in my right ear, except for the constant ringing, not great in the left. So yes,I'm a fan of suppressors. They have a place in my hunting tool box.
Also I can screw it on one of my 22LR rifles or contender pistol in 300 BO and shoot from my deck without annoying my neighbors while shooting couple of hundred rounds.
Their worth every penny.

IMO when hunting you shoot once maybe twice so a pair of ear plugs works. I also feel that suppressors make it much easier for poachers to do their thing. At the range a suppressor would be a good tool.

Then that would make them the dumbest poachers around. Most poaching gets a slap on the wrist, poaching with a suppressor nets you an instant felony with 10 years in federal prison. You'd get less time shooting them at night out of your truck with a spotlight.

Besides, these days most poachers just use crossbows at night or shoot them during the day when nobody cares if they hear a gunshot.

How about everyone just use and hunt with what they want and leave others alone? No one will ever change my opinion on them and Im sure wouldn't change someone else's opinion. Can't we all just get along?

That being said who ever said a poacher or anyone doing illegal things was smart. Also how many laws are out there that the actual sentence is handed down.
