Who else hates this new app

Most forums are pushing the apps and I do agree it's a way to mine data. I don't look at the forums while I am out for the day so for me, it is a morning or evening thing.

Feel free to suggest anything that is an issue for you and I promise it will be corrected within a day.

Saying something sucks just isn't helpful.

There is an update button in the app, please be sure you're running the latest version.
Hi Chris,

@Chris , Not an app user. Here is a major issue many of us are having that are not using the app. This happens continually during using the standard web loading. Even when clicking on a link from a email notification or when navigating within the sight. This is from a few minutes ago. Obviously there's an issue.

What didn't you like?

Chris, I'm certainly "not" trying to be funny or a jerk…….but, I think that reading through the many posts should give some data points as to the "hate and discontent" toward the app!

I'm certainly not computer literate, but my wife is pretty adept with them. She tried numerous methods and suggestions by other members……for myself, it was simply unworkable! memtb

This forum will eventually die out with only the current membership. The young bucks are going to be using apps. Offering both now is likely the best way to continue the forum.
Disagree.

The app (Gather) is just horrible. Even the young bucks don't like it.
Difficult to see responses, always defaulted to the app, couldn't follow threads.

I tried it for a few days and deleted it. Currently I have 442 apps on my phone, so it's not like I don't have any or delete them a lot.

We also offer a desktop version of LRH, but what's funny is no one is forcing you to use the app.

I believe most everyone received the same email asking to download the app in detail and how to log in. Maybe send out pm's to those who may not know how to delete the app and go back to the web version on their phones/tablets. The generation that contributes the most knowledge to this platform seems to be unhappy with the app performance and usability. That same generation is a common sense oriented generation. I agree most youngsters are accessing said info made by the contributors via apps. I haven't and wont download any app I absolutely can't live without. So I cannot comment on the usability. I would suggest tailoring to the needs of the most dedicated contributors to this site and making as easy as possible for them to continue
