Having some feeding issues. Need some info from those who are running their 6.5 SS with a centerfeed blind mag or hinged floor plate.

What magbox and follower are you running? Can you provide front and rear measurements for the opening on the mag box lips?

You're going to want to run a wyatt's center feed box, not the action rails. Almost zero taper and a 40° shoulder will give possible feeding issues. Tuning the feed lips on the cfe box, contouring the feed ramp a bit more, polishing may help. Some guys use detach bottom metal and mags.

I agree with that tuning but will add this. The BEST way way to go and usually eliminates the problem is just go with an Accurate or Alpha mag DBM designed for the WSM. Wyatt's will work if properly tuned but the operative word is "properly" and it isn't always easily done by just anyone.

I am running a Wyatt's CFE. They set tip up after the action is ran. Can't seem to adjust the lips far enough in to get the shell to sit level when the action is ran.

It's also built on a long action, so I'm trying to figure out if it's the feed lip adjustment or more where it's sitting on the lips, forward to rear. That's why I was looking for measurements to narrow down what the issue is.

Wyatt's will be open tomorrow, I will give him a call and see what he thinks.

It may be the long action mag box that's causing the problem, it's designed to hold a longer cases. Will def need some modifications.

Has me thinking as I'm going bdl on my build with extended Wyatt box. Hope it feeds ok. I'm going SST and it's suppose to feed better with the 30 degree. Has anyone tried the HS bottom metal/clip? Or Curtis custom with their mag?

The Curtis custom flush mag is nice but only works with the .473 Cartridges. I ran my 6.5SS with a 40* shoulder out of accurate mags and it works fine but like I like the 30* shoulder on the SST, it feeds smoother.
