Hornady makes 375 Ruger brass.
how did you guys make out 8x68 brass ? would it be worth doing a reamer on that instead ?
I haven't had time to do any follow up. As phorwath said though, the brass is much better and extraction is still unproven? My BAT seems to work well also. If I we're building with options, I would just have the bolt opened to the 8x68 spec.how did you guys make out 8x68 brass ? would it be worth doing a reamer on that instead ?
Isn't the capacity of the fire formed 8x68S case in the 30-375 SI the pertinent comparison to Hornady 375 cases formed to 30-375 SI?I can't imagine you not losing quite a bit of capacity using the 8x68 in a 30-375 SI. The 375 Ruger is about 8grs more capacity then a 300wm.

It's already been made, yearrrssss ago. It's called the .338 Campfire.I have finished my new wildcat 338-375 ruger (Demon). I am wondering if anyone has some good loads they have worked up for thiers. The two I have found that work well are:
CCI mag primer. 93 gr. Vihta Vuori N570. 250gr hornady hpbt. 3120 fps.
CCI mag primer. 90 gr. MRP2. 250gr. hornady hpbt. 3050 fps.
Either way its got the Lapua with the same grain of bullet in a factory load beat.
