Remington, Winchester or hornady?

I can't afford Norma brass and lapua doesn't make it for 300. Win mag so please don't suggest either. I can't seem to get my hands on any brass at all but I have 4 different leads I'm looking into that I may be able to get some remington brass out of BC, hornady brass (possibly a lot at a discount), and trying to figure out if a store near by has Winchester but it's not looking great.

So if you had the choice, which is the best?

Well, they all work. I've used mainly win and fed 300win brass and the win seems to be better once it's got some firings on it. I've used a bunch of rem brass of late in the 7rem, 7stw, and the 7 and 300 rums and they all work well. I've used some hornady brass in the 7rem and it's good too. The hard part is actually getting some brass lately. I noticed that graf's had some hornady 300win ammo on sale when I was perusing their site tonight.

If you compare the price of Norma brass to other brands it is quite affordable because it lasts well, but anyway, I would use any of the brands you list, Winchester seems to last the longest and primer pockets stay tight for a good many loads. Remington would be my next choice and although I'm currently using Hornady brass in 458Lott, I haven't had a enough loads through it yet to have an opinion on how good or bad it is, but I do like the fact that it's visually inspected after annealing and I haven't had any pieces that were unserviceable, unlike Rem and Win brass I've purchased recently.

All brands seem to do the job, but I wouldn't use Federal brass even if it was free, it appears to be too soft for handloading and only lasts one loading before needing to be scrapped.

i use lapua in my 300 win mag . not made any more though. i would use nosler. not among your choices though.

ive used both hornady and Remington brass and ill take hornady. Primer pockets are MUCH tighter than the remington brass that ive used. Also seem to get more reloads out of the hornady brass. Im going to start buying nosler or norma brass for my 6.5 Creed' when it becomes available.
